Frequently asked

Everything you need to know.

How is the team structured?+

The cohort counts eleven students. The Traveling Team (5 students) flies to Incheon to compete on-site. The Additional Team (6 students) stays in Madagascar and contributes remotely — engineering, programming, strategy and outreach. Sponsorship funds the preparation of all eleven and the travel & stay of the five qualified ambassadors.

How does the FIRST Global Financial Aid request work?+

Team Madagascar has submitted a Financial Aid request to FIRST Global (organizer of the FIRST Global Challenge). Our active fundraising strengthens that request: FIRST Global may cover part of the remaining gap once we demonstrate a credible local effort. If we reach our 25,000 USD goal through sponsors and donors, this aid will no longer be needed — and any awarded Financial Aid would then be redirected to strengthen the program (training, equipment, outreach).

How are funds managed?+

All funds are held by STEM for Good NGO, audited annually. A detailed expense report is shared with sponsors after the competition.

Can we co-design a custom package?+

Absolutely. Beyond the public tiers, we build tailor-made partnerships: exclusive content, school programs branded with your logo, naming of the robot, employee mentorship, etc.

What is the deadline to sponsor?+

We accept sponsors until September 4, 2026 to maximize activation time before Incheon. Earlier engagement means more visibility.

Will you mention us publicly?+

Yes — unless you prefer to remain anonymous. Public mentions are made on social media, the website, in jerseys and at press events.

Can individuals also sponsor?+

Yes. Individual donations are equally welcome — instantly via Stripe — and every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to our 25,000 USD goal.
